This growth is fueled by the ultra-wealthy's desire to diversify their residences. With remote work becoming increasingly common, these individuals are free to choose locations based on seasonality and lifestyle preferences.

While Málaga, the Balearic Islands, Madrid, and Barcelona have long been established luxury markets, new players are emerging. Cities like San Sebastián, Sotogrande, Baqueira, and Aiguafreda are attracting the high-end clientele of the real estate market.

Sotogrande: A Luxurious Oasis

Sotogrande, nestled in Cádiz province, is renowned for its exclusivity. Here, world-class golf courses like Valderrama (continental Europe's number one) and prestigious polo clubs reign supreme.

This beachfront haven, boasting luxurious infrastructure, is a magnet for celebrities and international high-net-worth individuals. According to Engel & Volkers, over 80% of buyers are foreigners, primarily from Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Northern Europe.
