Dressage Sotogrande won a total of seven medals, including a gold, at the recent Andalusian Dressage League hosted at the Montemarina facilities in Marbella. Representing Campo de Gibraltar, a talented group of ten riders showcased their skills on the grand stage.
In the competitive San Jorge category, Karin Orsing from Gibraltar impressed with a bronze medal aboard Condesa. Meanwhile, in the Classic class, British rider and team trainer Louise Thorne triumphed with Caramelo, securing the silver. Notably, Thorne was closely followed by her teammates, the skilled Érika Oley from Sotogrande riding Dichoso HGF, and Coral Buenestado from Barreña with PRE Única CLII.
In the Rider II category, German rider Michaela Gruenig faced a challenging test aboard PRE Eros Msuay, navigating moments of tension and horse refusals that ultimately placed them in fifth position.
Junior riders from the Costa del Sol region excelled, with Yana de la Paz winning silver in the Promotion I category, Anabella Torres claiming bronze, Carla Ortiz taking the top spot in the Children's category, Mariana Fernández securing silver in Pony D, and María Vega impressing in Pony B.
